Expressions is proud to present an exciting and unique film workshop put on by professional stunt artist -  Sean Skene. The workshop is designed for children and teaches them some tricks of the trade in a safe and monitored setting.
Sean will show the students how they make falls and other "accidents" look real on set and the proper and safe way to do some of these moves. Students will be reminded of safety and the importance of keeping the moves learned for only acting purposes in the presence of a professional.

Sean Skene has been involved in numerous films and just finished shooting a hockey movie in Belarus. As he is busy filming year round, we are lucky to have him teach this workshop at Expressions!

This workshop is an extra activity outside of regular class. The fee for the workshop is $40, which is payable to Expressions Film Studio. Please note, this workshop has only 14 spots and will be filled on a first come basis. I will have a sign up sheet at next class. Once your payment is received, your spot will be secured.

Date:  Sunday, November 6, 2011

Time: 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Place: Harstone Children's Centre Gymnasium
905 Sargent Ave (Ingersol and Sargent. Next to a Korean Church).

Welcome!

Welcome to the Expressions Film Studio Blog! Expressions Film Studio will be using this blog as a tool to communicate upcoming events (such as our Red Carpet Premiere), Studio updates, announcements for workshops, accolades for those booking auditions and parts, and even some pics of us working on our craft!
We’re four weeks into the Fall Session and making a lot of progress. We’ve covered many aspects of film training such as: cheating out, improv techniques, and theatrical acting versus film acting.  In the next few weeks we will be covering script analysis, audition techniques and writing scenes. Also, don’t forget at the end of the month, we’ll get cracking on our exciting film project, which our friends and families will get to see at our movie premiere!

COMING UP

Look out for more information regarding a Stunt Workshop with Sean Skene (Skene Stunts) on November 6th and an Introduction to Background/Headshot Workshop – date TBA.
Yes, we have a lot of neat things on the way!  And we would like to point out that none of these exciting and creative learning opportunities, here at Expressions, would have occurred without your support.  Thank you to all the parents, students, and supporters of our artistic community for your continuous patience, understanding, and help.
